THE BOOK

Kendra Jackson, Mother of three, created this wonderful tale while teaching her own kids about nature and insects.  It was then that she noticed there were not many sprawling caterpillar nests nestled in trees in the early spring as it was when she was growing up. After digging a little more her research showed that in fact there were a shortage of caterpillars just to name a few creatures that were once abundant a couple of short generations ago.  That's when she discovered this incredible fact and is eager to share it with you in her first book Bella's New Wings: An Adventure.

"What a lovely butterfly," exclaimed Mrs. Ludwig as she observed out of the kitchen window."Hmmm, and another and another and another," counted her eldest daughter as she too became curiously interested in the beautiful butterflies. Before they could get their next words out, the back door flung open. An excited Russ, Mrs. Ludwig's grandson, came in screaming, "We're being invaded by butterflies!"Butterflies of every shape, color and flight were surely all over the neighborhood. The Ludwigs had lived in the neighborhood for three generations and had never seen anything like it. Looking in awe and wonderment, some were a little scared, others quite surprised. Everyone -- and we mean everyone --stopped to ask the question:"Why is this happening?"Pan into the butterfly world...Come and journey with Bella and all her friends as we explore the flight of the Monarch Butterfly in Kendra Jackson's first book, Bella's New Wings: An Adventure. Once in every fifth generation the Monarch butterfly travels from the Northern most parts of Canada and the United States to Mexico for preservation, as the months can become too cold for their survival elsewhere. In Bella's New Wings: An Adventure, we explore the transformation of a caterpillar colony, realize the importance of family, and take a trip to unlikely places to discover new friends.
